<i>Salmonella enterica</i> serovar Typhimurium (<i>S.</i> Typhimurium) is a common food-borne pathogen that commonly causes gastroenteritis in humans and animals. <i>Apis laboriosa</i> honey (ALH) harvested in China has significant antibacterial activity against <i>Staphylococcus aureus</i>, <i>Escherichia coli,</i> and <i>Bacillus subtilis</i>.
