Quantitative proteomic analysis of in vivo-selected compensatory mutations restore the fitness cost of sulfonamide resistance genes in Escherichia coli

ABSTRACT: Sulfonamide resistance genes are associated with fitness costs in E. coli in vivo. We isolated three compensatory mutant strains carrying sul2 gene in vivo. Compensatory mechanism of sul2 gene in E. coli was explored by TMT-PRM technology.

ORGANISM(S): Escherichia Coli
