ABSTRACT: Sulfonamide resistance genes are associated with fitness costs in E. coli in vivo. We isolated three compensatory mutant strains carrying sul2 gene in vivo. Compensatory mechanism of sul2 gene in E. coli was explored by TMT-PRM technology.
