Transcriptome sequencingand mass spectrometry reveal genes involved in the feather growth rate not conforming to Mendelian inheritance in chicken


ABSTRACT: To identify mechanisms related to feather growth rate in chickens that is not in consistent with Mendelian inheritance law, we integrate transcriptome and proteome to analyze thedifferentially expressed genes (DEGs) and proteins (DEPs) between the EC and LC versus the EH and LH.

The feather growth rate in chickens included early and late feathering. We attempted to characterize the genes and pathways associated with the feather growth rate in chickens that are not in agreement with Mendelian inheritance.
