Porphyromonas gingivalis infection and atherosclerosis


ABSTRACT: To explore the effect of Porphyromonas gingivalis on lipid-laden macrophages, the project was conduct. Overall design: 8 samples, 4 replicates in 2 groups, with ox-LDL-treated RAW264.7 macrophages stimulated with or without Porphyromonas gingivalis.

At advanced phases of atherosclerosis, the rupture and thrombogenesis of vulnerable plaques emerge as primary triggers for acute cardiovascular events and fatalities.
