Genetically engineered commensal bacteria are promising living drugs, however, their therapeutic molecules are frequently confined to their colonization sites. Herein, we report an oral protein delivery technology utilizing an engineered bacterial type zero secretion system (T0SS) via outer membrane vesicles (OMVs).
