Proteome Analysis of the Proteins Related with the Recovery of Tapping Panel Dryness in Rubber Trees

ABSTRACT: Tapping panel dryness (TPD) in rubber tree has become the most severe restricting factor of natural rubber production. To date, there is no effective measures to prevent and control TPD. Previous studies were focused on analyzing the molecular mechanism underlying TPD occurrence. However, few researches have been carried out about the mechanism of TPD recovery.

Project description:Tapping panel dryness (TPD) seriously affects the natural rubber (NR) production of Hevea brasiliensis (rubber tree). Several studies have speculated that TPD influences NR biosynthesis in the latex of rubber trees based on the expression changes of NR biosynthesis-related genes. In this study, iTRAQ analysis of latex were carried out to reveal the molecular mechanism of TPD affecting rubber trees NR biosynthesis activity and molecular weight.

Project description:Deep sequencing of mRNA from Chinese tree shrew; Chinese tree shrew (Tupaia belangeri chinensis) is placed in Order Scandentia and embraces many unique features for a good experimental animal model. Currently, there are many attempts to employ tree shrew to establish model for a variety of human disorders such as social stress, myopia, HCV and HBV infection, and hepatocellular carcinoma .We present here a publicly available annotated genome sequence for Chinese tree shrew. Phylogenomic analysis of tree shrew and other mammalians highly supported its close affinity to primates. Characterization of key factors and signaling pathways of the nervous and immune systems in tree shrews showed that this animal had common and unique features, and had essential genetic basis for being a promising model for biomedical researches. Expression data from human lymphoma endothelium and reactive lymph node-derived endothelium

Project description:Angiogenesis plays a key role in tumor metastasis. Many genes may act in this process including formation of vessels, immune evasion,etc. Different gene expression profiles between lymphoma endothelium cells and reactive lymph node-derived endothelium cells may uncover these genes. And intensive mechanism researches on such key genes may explain the mechanisim of tumor-specific angiogenesis and help to explore effective treatment strategies to prevent/reverse tumor metastasis. We use microarrays to detail gene expression profiles of human lymphoma endothelium and reactive lymph node-derived endothelium. Lymph nodes were taken from surgery samples of cases pathologically diagnosed DLBCL (diffuse large B-cell lymphoma), PTL (peripheral T cell lymphoma) and reactive lymph nodes. The pure endothelium cells were isolated by LCM after immunohistochemical staining of CD34. We found Tim-3 was preferentially expressed on lymphoma-derived ECs via different expression profiles between lymphoma ECs and reactive lymph node-derived ECs. Intensive researches were carried out on Tim-3-expressing -ECs and we found that Tim-3 -expressing-Ecs may play important role on EC-mediated tumor evasion.
