AMPK Activation and BCL2 Upregulation: Novel Strategies for Alleviating Depression via Gut Barrier Enhancement
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Depression is a mental disorder that seriously affects health and has attracted widespread attention in recent years. Research has shown that an imbalance in gut microbiota is associated with the onset and severity of depression. To explore a new approach for the treatment of depression, this study focuses on the combination of geniposide and nanocrystalline cellulose (NCC) as the research object, aiming to reveal its molecular mechanism of alleviating depression like behavior in mice by regulating intestinal barrier function and microbiota balance
