Global profiling of the proteome and acetylome in mice with abdominal aortic aneurysms
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) is a fatal vascular disease characterized by abnormal expansion of the arterial wall and a high risk of rupture. Current treatments for AAA primarily rely on surgical intervention, while effective pharmacological therapies have yet to be developed. The major bottlenecks include an incomplete understanding of the disease mechanisms and a lack of efficient therapeutic targets. This study conducted a comprehensive proteome and acetylome analysis of mice models with abdominal aortic aneurysm to identify the key proteins, signaling pathways, and acetylation modification patterns involved in the progress of AAA.
