A total of 6 samples, including both Vd991 and VdGGCT knockout mutant groups, were analyzed to explore metabolic changes and discover key metabolites associated with the mutation phenotype.
Project description:Microarray analyses were performed to compare the gene expression profiles of wild-type and several mutant strains of the ciliated protozoan Tetrahymena thermophila. Elimination of H3K4 methylation (hht2-K4Q) and knockout of either of the ubiquitylation enzymes (delta-UBC2 and delta-BRE1) affects a broader spectrum of genes than elimination of H2B ubiquitylation (htb1-K115R).
Project description:Two covR mutant derivatives of parental strain MGAS2221 were recovered from mice experimentally infected with MGAS2221 and shown to differ in terms of the number and concentration of secreted proteins. One of the covR mutant strains had a secretion phenotype identical to a covS mutant strain, while the other had a secretion phenotype identical to a constructed covR mutant strain. To further investigate the potential differences between the two covR mutant strains we performed expression microarray analysis.
Project description:The analysis of proteins isolated from whole seedling homogenate allowed insight into the abundance of lipid droplet proteins in different lines and time points. In order to gain more detailed insight into the protein composition of LDs of the different mutant lines and to increase the chances for the detection of post-translationally modified peptides, LD-enriched fractions were analyzed in a second proteomic approach. The LD fraction was isolated from homogenized seedlings of qrt PUX10, qrt pux10-1, C#1, and C#2 at 2 dai.
Project description:The lipidome of two wildtype pure cultures and two mutant strains of archaea were examined in this study, which included Nitrosopumilus maritimus strain SCM1, a Haloferax larsenii (JCM 13917), a Methanococcus maripaludis mutant strain (pMEV4-ma_1486) and a mutant strain of Sulfolobus acidocaldarius (p1561-grsB-grsA). The lipids were analyzed using a Waters SYNAPT G2-Si quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometer (qTOF) coupled to an electrospray ionization (ESI) source operated at positive ion mode.
