Multi-omics Analysis Reveals Age- Associated Molecular Mechanisms in SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza Virus Infection
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: To elucidate the clinical manifestations of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza virus infection across different age groups, C57BL/6N mice (n = 3/group) were inoculated with 4×104 tissue culture infective dose (TCID50) of SARS-CoV-2 Beta variant (B.1.351) and influenza virus through the intranasal route. The blank untreated control groups of the young group (pyp), adult-aged group (pmp) and elderly group (pop) received an equal amount of sterile phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) through the nasal route. Four days following infection, the animals were euthanized and their lung tissues were harvested for the purposose of phosphoproteomics and proteomics analysis analyses
