Chronic inhalation of coal dust causes coal workers' pneumoconiosis (CWP), which is one of the leading occupational diseases. Coal workers' pneumoconiosis is currently incurable, posing a serious public health threat. Identifying the underlying molecular mechanisms of CWP is critical to overcome this challenge.
