Effect of Leishmania mexicana lysine deacetylases (DACs) in the acetylome of procyclic parasite stages
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Protein acetylation regulates key biological processes in diverse organisms. Previous studies from our group revealed stage-specific acetylation patterns in Trypanosoma species, suggesting a role in trypanosomatids differentiation. Here, we analyzed the effect of the absence of the four zinc-dependent lysine deacetylases (DAC1, 3, 4, and 5) from Leishmania mexicana in the global acetylome of procyclic parasite stage.
