ABSTRACT: Maize is one of the most important staple crops worldwide and is predominantly cultivated in arid and semi-arid regions, where increasing global warming has intensified the adverse impacts of drought on yield stability. Roots and leaves serve as key organs for environmental perception and regulation of plant growth and development; therefore, elucidating their molecular responses to drought stress is of great significance.
