Identification of HAO2 Protein-Protein Interactions by Mass Spectrometry

ABSTRACT: This project focuses on the systematic identification and characterization of proteins that interact with HAO2 (Hydroxyacid Oxidase 2) using advanced mass spectrometry techniques. The primary goal is to map the HAO2 interactome to gain insights into its biological functions, regulatory mechanisms, and potential role in metabolic pathways or disease states. By isolating HAO2-containing protein complexes and analyzing them via high-resolution mass spectrometry, we aim to generate a reliable list of binding partners. Subsequent bioinformatic analysis will help elucidate the involved cellular processes and networks. This research is fundamental for understanding the protein's physiological context and could reveal novel targets for further functional validation or therapeutic intervention.
