Proteomic signatures in chondrosarcoma and chondrocytes after proton irradiation
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In this project, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of the effects of proton irradiation on normal chondrocytes (MC615) and CHS cells (SW1353), focusing on survival capacity, genotoxic burden, oxidative stress dynamics, cell cycle alterations, and proteomic remodeling that further investigates the physical properties of protons and their cellular impact. By delineating the divergent biological responses between normal and malignant cartilage cells, we aimed to identify potential therapeutic targets that could enhance the efficacy of proton therapy while minimizing damage to healthy tissues.
