Effect of Bacillus pseudomycoides on Root Proteome of Populus davidiana×P. bolleana Under Salt Stress
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In this study, using Shanxin poplar (Populus davidiana × P. bolleana) as the experimental material, we employed LC‑MS/MS‑based proteomic sequencing to systematically reveal, at the protein regulation level, the effects of Bacillus pseudomycoides strain Bps‑1 on key pathways and key genes underlying salt tolerance in Shanxin poplar. Through an experimental design involving pre‑treatment with or without Bps‑1 inoculation for 7 days followed by salt stress exposure, we dissected the Bps‑1‑mediated regulatory mechanism of salt tolerance in Shanxin poplar, identifying differential proteins, core metabolic pathways, and molecular response patterns under salt stress. This study provides a scientific basis and theoretical support for utilizing beneficial microorganisms to enhance salt tolerance in forest trees and for advancing stress tolerance breeding in woody plants.
