ABSTRACT: Complete degradation strains, incomplete degradation strains, and control strains exhibit different responses to the same substrate. Fully degrading strains can alleviate the risk of pollution, while incompletely degrading strains metabolize substrates and produce more toxic intermediate substances, causing greater harm to the environment than control strains.
