Chloroquine potentiates oxaliplatin-induced ferroptotic injury in hypoxic hepatocellular carcinoma through lysosomal–mitochondrial stress


ABSTRACT: By inducing lysosomal and mitochondrial stress, chloroquine increases intracellular reactive oxygen species and lipid peroxidation, and markedly enhances oxaliplatin‑triggered ferroptotic cell death in hypoxic hepatocellular carcinoma, indicating a potential benefit of combined treatment.
