Urinary proteomic profiling across high-altitude populations

ABSTRACT: In this study, we performed large-scale urinary proteomic profiling in 209 participants, including 50 individuals from a low-altitude plain region and 159 individuals residing at four altitude levels in Tibet (2,800 m, 3,500 m, 3,700 m, and 4,500 m). Using data-independent acquisition mass spectrometry (DIA-MS) followed by parallel reaction monitoring (PRM) validation, we systematically characterized altitude-associated proteomic remodeling under chronic hypoxic exposure.
