Hepatokine AGP2 Mediates Physical Exercise-Induced Bone Augmentation through Liver-Bone Signaling Communication

ABSTRACT: This project investigates how physical exercise promotes bone anabolism through liver-bone signaling. We identify the hepatokine AGP2 as an exercise-responsive factor induced by hepatic H3K14 lactylation and show that liver-derived AGP2 promotes osteoblast activity through LRP5/Wnt/beta-catenin signaling. Genetic and pharmacological studies further demonstrate the contribution of AGP2 to exercise-induced bone formation and protection against osteoporosis.
