Human extracellular 6-<i>O</i>-endosulfatases Sulf-1 and Sulf-2 are the only enzymes that post-synthetically alter the 6-<i>O</i> sulfation of heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPG), which regulates interactions of HSPG with many proteins.
