Exploring salivary peptidomic profiling of feline chronic gingivostomatitis using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and nanoLC-tandem mass spectrometry: Insights into viral infections and histopathology confirmed
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Cats with feline chronic gingivostomatitis (FCGS) have moderate to severe pain. The cause might be related to insufficient immune response to oral antigenic stimulation. Salivary peptidome is an alternative method for investigating inflammatory protein mediators and the pathways involved in oral mucosal immune activation appear to be a promising avenue of research for FCGS therapy.
