Proteogenomics_of_Dermatophagoides_farinae

ABSTRACT: Pools of 1,000 individually collected, verified and sex-sorted individuals of Dermatophagoides farinae per biological replicate were used. We ensured that each of the mites included in the analysis was alive, free of contaminants and of a specific size at the time of collection. The separate analyses of males and females enabled us to compare the proteome and allergome between the mite sexes. We used separate samples of male and female mites for the label-free quantitative proteomic analyses employing nano-liquid chromatography coupled with Orbitrap Fusion Tribrid mass spectrometer. Each of the four biological replicates per sex was analyzed twice; thus, a total of 16 consecutive nLC-MS/MS analyses were performed. (DF_f = female; DF_m = male)
