Mass spectrometric analysis of fluorophore labeled albumins


ABSTRACT: A genetic engineering strategy for editing near-infrared-II fluorophores. The labeled albumin proteins were digested using suspension trapping (STrap) approach with in-house packed glass fiber filters. The LC-MS/MS analysis was performed on a nanoLC-Q Exactive MS system. The protein identification was performed using Proteome Discoverer (version 2.3) and MaxQuant (version 1.6.3.4).

The second near-infrared (NIR-II) window is a fundamental modality for deep-tissue in vivo imaging. However, it is challenging to synthesize NIR-II probes with high quantum yields (QYs), good biocompatibility, satisfactory pharmacokinetics, and tunable biological properties.
