In-depth Mass Spectrometry Analysis Reveals the Plasma Proteomic and N-glycoproteomic Impact of an Amish Enriched Cardioprotective Variant in B4GALT1

ABSTRACT: Proteome and N-glycoproteome in human plasma were analyzed and compared between B4GALT1 WT and N352S genotypes. The results showed that N352S significantly decreased galactosylation for a wide range of proteins, especially apoB and fibrinogen, which may be associated with the decreased LDL-c level observed in N352S samples.
