Sleep deprivation exacerbates microglial reactivity and A beta deposition: TREM2-dependence in wild type mice and a model of amyloidosis


ABSTRACT: We investigated whether sleep loss causes global changes in the proteome by analyzing cerebrospinal fluid using unbiased mass-spectrometry to identify proteolytic processes unique, or similar to changes linked to sleep and TREM2 genotype, in the presence or absence of A beta plaques.
