Gut-microbiota derived N,N,N-trimethyl-5-aminovaleric acid (TMAVA) is a modulator of CNS-aGVHD
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: In this study, we report that microbiota depletion results in exacerbated acute graft-vs-host disease in the central nervous system (CNS), mediated by microglia activation and T-cell infiltration. We could rescue the inflammatory changes in the CNS by administering the microbiota-derived metabolite N,N,N-trimethyl-5-aminovalerate.
