Mouse brain proteome response to a circadian rhythm disruption and FABP7 KO

ABSTRACT: Proteomic data from mouse brain; frontal cortical/hippocampal, encompassing Sham control and Fabp7 KO combined with circadian rhythm disrupting electroshock. 16 total samples. Samples were digested with trypsin, TMT labeled and fractionated (12) then analyzed by LC-MS/MS. Data was searched with MS-GF+ using PNNL's DMS processing pipeline.

Background/objectives
Patients with epilepsy commonly experience patterns of seizures that change with sleep/wake behavior or diurnal rhythms. The cellular and molecular mechanisms that underlie these patterns in seizure activity are not well understood but may involve non-neuronal cells, such as astrocytes. Our previous studies show the critical importance of one specific astrocyte factor, the brain-type fatty acid binding protein Fabp7, in the regulation of time-of-day-dependent electr ...[more]
