Proteomics reveals substantial differences between in vitro matured abattoir-derived and in vivo matured oocytes in cattle
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Proteomic analysis of three different groups of cattle oocytes was performed using mass spectrometry. Oocytes retrieved from slaughterhouse material, with and without a period of in vitro maturation, and in vivo matured oocytes obtained from donor cattle following superovulation were compared. For each oocyte group the proteome of four biological replicates containing ten oocytes each was analyzed.
