Metabolomic responses to salinity of black yeasts isolated from deep-sea sediments of the Gulf of Mexico

ABSTRACT: This project focused on investigating metabolomic changes in response to salt stress and melanin inhibition, through untargeted metabolomic analyses in Salinomyces thailandicus, Neophaeotheca triangularis, and Neophaeotheca salicorniae, grown under four culture conditions: control (no salt), with 10% NaCl, and both with and without phthalide (a DHN-melanin inhibitor).
