ABSTRACT: In this study, we comprehensively investigated the influence of gut microbiota on gamma coronavirus replication in chickens. Using multi-omics approaches, we systematically examined microbial, viral and metabolic differences among adult chickens, young chickens and young chickens subjected to fecal microbiota transplantation from adults, establishing a mechanistic basis for the observed enhanced resistance to infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) in adult chickens
