Comparative non-targeted metabolomic profiling of PEDV-infected versus uninfected neonatal piglets

ABSTRACT:

Three-day-old piglets were orally inoculated with L. reuteri, with age-matched untreated piglets serving as controls. Five days post-inoculation, all piglets were challenged with PEDV. Jejunal contents were collected during acute infection for non-targeted metabolomic profiling.For non-diseased piglets, jejunal contents were collected by euthanasia on day 7 after PEDV infection.
