ABSTRACT: This study applied serum metabolomics to compare patients with cerebral infarction (n=10) and controls (n=10). A total of 3,160 metabolites were identified, with distinct class distributions between groups. Cerebral infarction patients showed elevated benzene derivatives, organic acids, and bile acids, while amino acids and glycerophospholipids were decreased. PCA and OPLS-DA confirmed clear metabolic separation, and 329 differential metabolites were identified. Network and enrichment analyses indicated disruptions in lipid, amino acid, energy, and inflammation-related pathways. These findings highlight marked metabolic reprogramming in cerebral infarction and provide potential biomarkers for disease mechanisms and diagnosis.
