Multiomics analysis of residual feed intake regulation in calves by intestinal microbiota-mediated epigenetic modifications
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Feed efficiency is a critical trait affecting the economic profitability and environmental sustainability of livestock production. Residual Feed Intake (RFI), as a key metric for feed efficiency, effectively reflects differences in energy utilization for maintenance and production. This study aims to employ metabolomics to deeply investigate the differences in gut metabolic function between calves with distinct RFI phenotypes.
INSTRUMENT(S): Liquid Chromatography MS - negative - reverse-phase, Liquid Chromatography MS - positive - reverse-phase
