Untargeted serum metabolomics of early-life antibiotic intervention, fecal microbiota transplantation restoration, and short-term high-fat diet effects in C57BL/6 mice
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study profiles the serum metabolome in C57BL/6 mice subjected to early-life antibiotic treatment (vancomycin and gentamicin, 2 weeks), followed by fecal microbiota transplantation and a short-term high-fat diet. Serum samples were collected longitudinally and analyzed by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry in both positive and negative ion modes. The non-targeted metabolomics data provide insights into host-microbiome metabolic interactions and the metabolic consequences of microbial restoration and dietary challenge.
