Seminal lipid depletion and gut microbiome–metabolome alterations in men with gonadotropin-treated idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism: an integrated multi-omics study

ABSTRACT: This study investigated seminal plasma lipid alterations and gut microbiome–metabolome changes in men with gonadotropin-treated idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. Seminal plasma metabolomics, fecal metagenomic sequencing, and fecal metabolomics were performed in patients and healthy controls. The resulting multi-omics data were analyzed to characterize metabolic and microbial differences and their associations with semen parameters.
