Metabolomic Profiling of Veillonella parvula Reveals Metabolites Associated with Colorectal Adenoma Progression
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: An untargeted liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS)-based metabolomics analysis was performed to characterize metabolites produced during the cultivation of Veillonella parvula. Culture supernatants collected from V. parvula cultures were compared with uninoculated culture-medium controls prepared under the same experimental conditions. The resulting metabolic profiles were analyzed to identify metabolites that differed between the V. parvula culture-supernatant group and the blank-medium group. This experiment aimed to screen for bacterial culture-associated differential metabolites potentially involved in the biological effects of V. parvula.
INSTRUMENT(S): Liquid Chromatography MS - negative - reversed-phase-chromatography, Liquid Chromatography MS - alternating - reverse-phase
