Metabolomic profiling of seedless oil palm mesocarp during fruit development
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study investigated developmental changes in the mesocarp metabolome of seedless oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) at 95, 125, and 185 days after pollination. Mesocarp samples from three developmental stages (FL1, FL2, and FL3) were analyzed by untargeted HILIC LC-MS/MS using two biological replicates per stage. The dataset was generated to characterize developmental metabolite abundance patterns, with particular attention to fatty-acid- and lipid-metabolism-related features associated with the late-stage increase in the oleic-acid-associated LC-MS/MS signal.
