Targeted rewiring of the rhizosphere metabolite-microbe axis restores phosphorus acquisition in inefficient citrus rootstocks
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: This study aimed to screen citrus rootstocks with contrasting phosphorus (P) efficiency. Seedlings were grown in P-deficient red soil-vermiculite substrate under greenhouse conditions. After 5 months cultivation, plant biomass, leaf P concentration, root architecture, rhizosphere available P and phosphatase activities were measured. Based on phenotypic and biochemical traits, *C. tangerina* HJ(P-efficient) and *C. junos*XC (P-inefficient) were selected as contrasting genotypes for subsequent multi-omics analyses.
INSTRUMENT(S): Liquid Chromatography MS - negative - reverse-phase, Liquid Chromatography MS - positive - reverse-phase
