Metabolome profiling on resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma patients with early liver metastasis
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) remains difficult to cure because many patients develop liver metastasis even after apparently curative resection. Bile is in close contact with the pancreatobiliary system, but its multi-omic features in resectable PDAC and their relationship to postoperative liver metastasis remain poorly defined. Here, we performed integrated metabolomic profiling of bile samples from 96 patients, including 40 with benign biliary disease and 56 with resectable PDAC, among whom 30 developed liver metastasis within 6 months after surgery and 26 remained disease free.
INSTRUMENT(S): Liquid Chromatography MS - negative - reverse-phase, Liquid Chromatography MS - positive - reverse-phase
