Collection and Analysis of Root Exudates
Ontology highlight
ABSTRACT: Exposed peach tree roots were selected and gently rinsed with tap water to avoid mechanical damage to the root tissue structure. The treated roots were completely immersed in a 50 mL centrifuge tube filled with ultrapure water. The tube mouth was sealed with Parafilm, and the tube was wrapped in aluminum foil for light protection. The centrifuge tube was then returned to the original soil environment and covered with soil for in situ incubation. After 24 h, root exudate samples were collected and cryopreserved at −80 °C until further use.
