Project description:A novel propionate production pathway from inositol by commensal Anaerostipes which is known as intestinal butyrate producer was studied. The physiological relevance of this pathway was explored in human gut as well as potential health impact of Anaerostipes species to the human host.
Project description:We obtained L. kefiri (JCM5818) and L. kefiranofaciens (JCM6985) from the Japan Collection of Microorganisms (JCM). Bacteria were grown together at two different temperatures of 30C and 37C profiled for transcriptomics, metabolomics, and proteomics.
