Project description:To further compare gene expression profile between breast cancer stem cells (SP cells) and non-SP cells, we have employed illumina GEX microarray as a discovery platform to identify gene differential expression between SP with non-SP cells. Overall design: SP analysis and sorting were done using a FACSVantage SE.The breast cancer cells were sorted into SP and non-SP cells.Total RNA was isolated from the FACS-sorted SP or non-SP cells, and gene expression signiture was detected by microarray.
Project description:To study whether there are differences in chromatin-mediated regulation between and within chromosomes in Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici 4287 (FGSC9935), we determined the distribution of histone marks associated with euchromatin (H3K4me2) and facultative heterochromatin (H3K27me3) in vitro. We then determined whether these differences correlate with differences in dispensability and sequence divergence and gene expression. Overall design: Examination of histone modifications H3K4me2 and H3K27me3 in vitro.
