Project description:After consultation with the Korean Health Authorities, the two Post-Authorization Safety Studies EMR 62202-509 (NCT01082315) and EMR 62241-508 (NCT01075828) were combined within one study protocol EMR 062202-551. This Post-Marketing Surveillance Study (PMS) EMR 062202-551 is requested by the Korean Health Authorities to continue monitoring of Erbitux and provide further information about safety and toxicity in clinical practice in at least 900 patients during 6 years.
All data points from the EMR 62202-509 (NCT01082315) and EMR 62241-508 (NCT01075828) remain unchanged in protocol EMR 062202-551. Therefore, the Sponsor has decided not to separately disclose the EMR 062202-551 study titled "A Korean Post-Marketing Surveillance Study On Erbitux (Cetuximab) in Patients With Locally Advanced or Recurrent and/or Metastatic Squamous Cell Cancer of the Head and Neck (originally EMR 62241-508) and in Patients With EGFR-expressing, KRAS wild-type Metastatic Colorectal Cancer (originally EMR 62202-509)" on clinicaltrials.gov.

Project description:Several observations have pointed a link between small RNA pathway and testicular germ cell tumorigenesis. Yet, the role of small RNAs in testicular germ cell tumors (TGCTs) is still not completely understood. In this study, we characterized the expression profiles of sRNAs in 9 primary sporadic TGCTs and 2 normal testes (NTs) using a sequencing approach. Our data show comprehensive coverage of microRNAs (miRNAs) expressed in human TGCT tissues and NTs, including the identification of 29 candidate novel miRNAs. We identified the differentially expression of miR-506~514 cluster and miR-21, miR-223 in the TGCTs compared to NTs. Functionally, we showed that miR-514a-3p positively regulates apoptosis through directly regulating PEG3. We further demonstrate that PEG3 activates NF-kappa B pathway in human testicular germ cell tumors.

To search of targets genes of miR-193b, we performed transcriptome analysis to compare expression profiles between human pancreatic cancer cells, MIA PaCa-2, transfected with precursor of miR-193b and those transfected with a negative control precursor.
