Here, we developed and comprehensively characterized a cellular model of colon cancer progression consisting of four defined derivatives of a colon cancer cell line that resulted from consecutive epithelial-mesenchymal and mesenchymal-epithelial transitions (EMT/MET) and phenotypically recapitulate the metastatic cascade.
