Project description:Illumina HiSeq technology was used to generate mRNA profiles from Suillus luteus ectomycorrhizal roots compared to free-living mycelium . Mycorrhizal roots were harvested after 40 days, pooled and used for RNA extraction. Reads of 2X100bp were generated and aligned to Suillus luteus (http://genome.jgi-psf.org/Suilu1/Suilu1.home.html) using CLC Genomics Workbench 6. mRNA profiles from Suillus luteus ectomycorrhizal roots and free-living mycelium were generated by paired-end (2x100bp) Illumina HiSeq2000 sequencing. Two biological replicates were sequenced for mycorrhizal and mycelium samples.
Project description:Transcriptional profiling of larval stage I - IV of Homarus americanus, for assessment of stage specific developmental gene expression. Individuals from each stage were gathered in July of 2009 and 2010. A reference design was used to permit comparison of all stages. Study aims included assessment of global gene expression of larval development of healthy larvae, and identifying novel molecular pathways involved in H. americanus development. Four condition experiment, stage I - IV individuals: 10 biological replicates per stage. Stages collected independantly from each other; sampling conducted over 2 seasons. Reference sample prepared from pooled RNA of 4 individuals per stage.
Project description:This study evaluated the transcriptional reprogramming of a susceptible genotype (Pera sweet orange) challenged with the pathogenic bacteria Candidatus Liberibacter americanus (CaLam), using a customized 385K microarray containing about 32,000 unigene transcripts. For the microarray experiment were used symptomatic leaves from two Pera sweet orange plants inoculated with either bark or bud pieces infected with Candidatus Liberibacter americanus and two non-infected control plants.
