Most current tumor immunotherapy strategies leverage cytotoxic CD8<sup>+</sup> T cells. Despite evidence for clinical potential of CD4<sup>+</sup> tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs), their functional diversity limits our ability to harness their activity.
