Project description:We report two populations of activated germinal centre B cells in the Peyer´s patches that are distinguished by their expression of GL7 or not. Using an antigen-specific system, we sort GL7+ and GL7- activated cells and performe RNASeq. We also included GL7 expressing B cells activated against the gut microbiota, and resting B cells from Peyer´s patches and spleen.

Comparison of gene expression profiles between S100A4-positive and -negative cells isolated from the Peyer's patches

Project description:To identify gene products expressed in S100A4-producing cells in Peyer's patches, we used transgenic mice expressing enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) under the control of the mouse S100A4 promoter (S100A4-GFP mice) and analyzed gene expression profiles using microarray. As a result, we found that S100A4-producing cells expressed many genes characteristic of LysoMac/DCs and ILC3s.

Project description:A microarray analysis was conducted to analyze gene expression patterns in different tissues of the ECM interaction between Betula pendula and Paxillus involutus grown in peat microcosms containing (NH4)2SO4 nutrient patches. Expression profiles for mycorrhizal root tips (TIP), rhizomorphs (CORD) and the mycelium harvested from (NH4)2SO4 nutrient patches (PATCH) were compared. Our goal was to identify genes that showed nutrient- and tissue-specific differential regulation. <br> <br> The entire design involved 9 slides (DW1_01--DW1_09), 12 labelled extracts, and 3 biological replicates (R1-R3). The experiment was designed as a simple loop (all-pairwise comparisons) of the three tissues including dye-swap, biological and technical replication.

Project description:We compare, in human macrophages, stimuli considered to induce M1 or M2 type of activation, also termed classical and alternative activation. This dataset highlights key differences between the M1 and M2 stimuli pointing to the need of a revision of the paradigm. Macrophages were left untreated or stimulated with IL-4 and IL-13 (prototypic M1 stimuli), Dexamethasone (Glucocorticoid receptor agonist) which has been hitherto considered M2, IL-10 which also falls under the M2 umbrella, and LPS and Interferon Gamma considered M1 stimuli.
