Project description:RNA was extracted from neutrophils from healthy subjects whose neutrophil function has been extensively characterized for RNA sequencing.
Project description:Total RNA from lymphocytes derived from skin lesions of three pemphigus patients and three healthy control subjects was used for this study. Elevated mRNA expression levels of the immune cells activation and chemotaxis were observed in pemphigus lesions.
Project description:This study aims to understand the systemic component of psoriasis pathogenesis since psoriasis patients have higher risk of developing diesases beyond skin inflammation. In this study, we collected sigmoidal gut biopsies to profile host transcriptomic changes associated with psoriasis patients and healthy subjects. This exepriment provided transcriptomic dataset of host response and is integrated with fecal metagenomic data and flow cytometry dataset as part of the multi-omic study.
Project description:Type 2 inflammation contributes to the pathology of pruritic skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis (AD). Chronic pruritus of unknown origin (CPUO) is a skin condition of unknown etiology that typically has minimal inflammation. Yet, some patients with CPUO display signs of mildly increased type 2 inflammation. This study aims to compare skin transcriptional profiles in CPUO to healthy skin and to skin from AD, a classical type 2 inflammatory condition.
Project description:MS/MS spectra were collected from Staphylococcus bacteria isolated from skin of healthy subjects. Extractions were performed in 100% Methanol and extracts were either filtered using a Phree Phospholipid Removal kit (Phenomenex) or not then dried down and resuspended in MeOH solution with internal standard for LC-MS/MS analysis.
Project description:In this study gene expression of monocyte-derived macrophages (MDM) from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients and healthy subjects was investigated. MDM were treated with LPS, a combination of fine TiO2 and ultrafine Printex90 particles, or remained untreated. Keywords: disease state analysis
