Project description:Gut microbes elicit specific changes in gene expression in the colon of mice. We colonized germ-free mice with microbial communities from the guts of humans, zebrafish and termites, human skin and tongue, soil and estuarine microbial mats. We used microarrays to detail the differences in global gene expression in colon tissue that are caused by the different microbial communities 28 days after gavage into the germfree animal. Three biological replicates per group, male C57BL/6 mice (12-16 weeks old)

Project description:We used one of the RNA-DNA proximity ligation approaches, RedC, for the analysis of an RNA-DNA interactome of microbial cells. We assess the distribution of main RNA types — mRNA, tRNA and rRNA — along the genomes of E.coli, B.subtilis, and thermophilic archaea T. adornatum.
Project description:Proteomic data from supernatants from thermophilic cellulolytic microbial communities, for the identification of specific hydrolases from Thermobispora bispora related actinobacterium.
Project description:In this study, we used multiple meta-omic approaches to characterize the microbial community and the active metabolic pathways of a stable industrial biogas reactor operating at thermophilic temperatures (60°C) and elevated levels of free ammonia (367 mg NH3-N/L).
